This recipe is a favorite with my close friends, kids enjoy it too, and the perfect addition to a long day at work dinner.

How to Make Marry Me Chicken Pasta

Step One : Prepare the Chicken

To preparethe Chicken: Dry the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side.
Until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Step Two : Make the Sauce

Sauté the Garlic: In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until it smells amazing.
Add Broth and Cream: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir it all together.
Add Cheese and Tomatoes: Stir in parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and some Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for 5 minutes so it gets a little thicker.

Step Three: Cook the Pasta

Boil the Pasta: Cook your favorite pasta in a big pot of salted boiling water, following the directions on the package. Before you drain it, save ½ cup of the pasta water to use later.

Step Four : Combine Everything

Slice the Chicken: Cut the cooked chicken into strips.
Mix Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the sauce and mix everything together. If the sauce feels too thick, add a little of the saved pasta water to make it just right.
Top with Chicken: Place the chicken strips on top of the pasta and pour some extra sauce over them. Add fresh basil if you want!
