If you’re hosting a party or having a potluck, you can prepare green bean casserole ahead of time and reheat it to keep it warm on your stovetop or in your oven until everyone is ready to eat.

You can also make this recipe with frozen green beans that have been thawed first. Just be sure not to overcook them.

Cover so that they are air-tight – plastic wrap is good. Store in the refrigerator for 3 days.

All in all, this is an easy side dish to prepare. It’s also very versatile. You can change it up with different seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, pepper, etc. They also can be served with pulled pork when you have a crowd of family over for dinner.

If you want to serve it on Christmas Day, then you would increase the portion size slightly.
